Cheryl is a dedicated, passionate and skilled State of Florida Board-Certified Medical Electrologist combining over 30 years in the medical field to her expertise as a laser specialist. Having graduated from Orange County High School in 1987, Cheryl followed family and employment as a medical assistant to The Gulf Coast of Florida in 1988 and diligently continued her healthcare/medical education to include surgical assistant, skilled and urgent care, x-ray, phlebotomy, pharmaceuticals, infection control and office management until 2001 when she relocated to Daytona Beach’s gorgeous coastline and began her medical transcription business. In 2010, Cheryl enrolled and graduated from Laseit Electrolysis and Beauty Institute as a clinical and medical electrologist and paramedical esthetician and developed Thairapy Laser and Skin in 2013.
In 2014, Cheryl returned to academia and was honored to have personally trained with tattoo artist and Master John Hashey the art of pigment removal, cosmetic tattooing, areola reconstruction, scar relaxation, needling and camouflage and graduate of Hashey’s Apprenticeship School of Permanent Cosmetics. Since 2014, Cheryl has ceaselessly continued her medical, esthetic, and laser physics education. She is owner and operator of Thairapy Laser and Skin in New Smyrna Beach Florida where she practices laser hair removal, paramedical esthetics, tattoo removal, cosmetic tattooing and shares her skills with Kin Yee, D.O., Medical Director, General and Cosmetic surgeon as his surgical assistant for cosmetic surgery procedures.
In 2017, after returning to Orange County for her 30th high school reunion and revisiting lifelong memories within the surrounding cities and towns, her long lost love of Virginia, its history, divine beauty and down-to-Earth southern friends and family left a strong desire to return “home” and within 3 months, Cheryl had a plan to return to the land she loves. Cheryl now travels cyclically from Florida to Virginia to provide her laser hair removal services.
